Government, Fazzolari: ‘FdI and P.Chigi never doubted Mattarella’s institutional loyalty’

Rome, 18 November (LaPresse) – ‘Neither Fratelli d’Italia nor Palazzo Chigi have ever doubted the institutional loyalty of President Mattarella, with whom the government has always interacted in a spirit of total cooperation, not least on important international issues, from Ukraine to the Middle East.’ This was the comment made by the undersecretary to the Prime Minister, Giovanbattista Fazzolari, to LaPresse regarding the controversy that arose following the statement by the leader of the FdI group in the Chamber of Deputies, Galeazzo Bignami, in which the deputy requested a denial from the Quirinale adviser, Francesco Saverio Garofani, for the statements attributed to him by the daily newspaper La Verità. According to Fazzolari, such a denial would have avoided any kind of controversy.
