Milan, 21 February (LaPresse) – Nine games were played last night in the NBA, with the highlight being the Los Angeles derby won by the Lakers 125-122 thanks to Luka Doncic’s 38 points and 11 assists. Kawhi Leonard’s 31 points were not enough for the Clippers. The Cleveland Cavaliers secured their seventh consecutive victory, beating the Charlotte Hornets 118-113 with Donovan Mitchell scoring 32 points. Simone Fontecchio played just under three minutes and scored three points in his Miami Heat’s 128-97 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. It was an easy win for the champions Oklahoma City Thunder, who beat the Brooklyn Nets 105-86, while the Denver Nuggets overwhelmed the Portland Trail Blazers 157-103 with Nikola Jokic scoring 32 points. Also in the West, the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Dallas Mavericks 122-11 with 40 points from Anthony Edwards. Finally, the Washington Wizards beat the Indiana Pacers 131-118 and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Utah Jazz 123-114.
