Villa Pamphili, forensic doctor: “Little Andromeda had not eaten for days”

Rome, Feb. 23 (LaPresse) – “Little Andromeda was malnourished and had not eaten for days.” This was stated in court, before the first Assize Court of Rome, by forensic doctor Gerardo De Masi, an anatomical pathologist at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome and consultant to the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office, who performed the autopsies on the bodies of Anastasia Tofimova and her daughter Andromeda, found dead on June 7, 2025, at Villa Pamphili in Rome. Francis Kaufmann, aka Rexal Ford, a 47-year-old American citizen, is charged with their deaths. The man is present in court and is defended by lawyer Paolo Foti. The forensic doctor also added that Anastasia’s face, when discovered among the hedges of Villa Pamphili, was completely unrecognizable as it had been eaten away by larvae. At the previous hearing, the defendant’s lawyer had requested a psychiatric evaluation for his client, claiming that he would be unable to stand trial. The president of the first section of the Assize Court of Rome, Paola Roia, has reserved judgment on the decision.
