Lebanon, Israeli Embassy in Italy: ‘UNIFIL forces not the target of deliberate attacks’

Milan, 9 April (LaPresse) – “With regard to the allegations concerning harm to UNIFIL forces, it should be emphasised that, due to Hezbollah’s continued presence and activities in southern Lebanon, the area constitutes an active theatre of combat. For these reasons, Israel has warned UNIFIL forces and has issued constant messages urging them to exercise the utmost caution. UNIFIL forces are not the target of deliberate attacks. Any incident or unusual occurrence is investigated thoroughly and with full transparency.” This was stated by the Israeli Embassy in Italy in a press release.
