Lebanon: Meloni to Al Sisi: ‘A ceasefire is needed, and support for negotiations with Israel’

Turin, 10 April (LaPresse) – During this evening’s telephone conversation between Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, “the two leaders also discussed the situation in Lebanon, emphasising the need for an immediate ceasefire and expressing their shared support for the prospect of direct negotiations between Israel and Lebanon”. This is according to a statement from Palazzo Chigi.
