Rome, 12 Apr. (LaPresse/AP) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has told Russian President Vladimir Putin that Tehran is ready to reach an agreement guaranteeing ‘lasting regional peace’. According to reports in the Iranian state media, Pezeshkian added that Iran’s national interests represent a red line. Pezeshkian then criticised the United States’ use of bases in Gulf countries to launch attacks against Iran, whilst reiterating that the Gulf countries are “brothers” and that Tehran is willing to cooperate with them to achieve regional security “without the intervention of external powers”.
