Milan, 15 April (LaPresse) – Rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, has postponed his upcoming concert in Marseille after the French authorities announced their intention to ban it. The decision came a week after he was banned from entering the UK, where he was due to headline the Wireless Festival in July, following controversy sparked by some of his previous anti-Semitic remarks. “After careful consideration, it is my sole decision to postpone my concert in Marseille, France, until a later date,” Ye wrote on Wednesday on the social media platform X. ‘I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to making amends,’ he added. The rapper, who changed his name in 2021, was due to perform at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille on 11 June, and is also expected in Italy on 18 July for a concert at the Rcf Arena in Reggio Emilia.
