Crans-Montana: Switzerland to ask Italy to reimburse medical costs

(LaPresse) – Switzerland intends to ask Italy to reimburse the medical costs incurred by Sion Hospital for the treatment of three Italian youths injured in the fire at the “Le Constellation” nightclub in Crans-Montana. This is according to informed sources. The same sources explain that this was reportedly communicated during a meeting held today between the Italian ambassador to Bern, Gian Lorenzo Cornado, and the president of the Canton of Valais, Mathias Reynard. The request is reportedly based on regulatory issues that would not allow the canton to cover the costs.
