AI, Landini: ‘People at the centre and in the service of human intelligence’

Rome, 23 June (LaPresse) – “Artificial intelligence, together with digital technology and robotics, is changing the world of work. But I believe the fundamental point is that artificial intelligence must be at the service of human intelligence. People must remain at the centre; in my view, this is the fundamental point: work must remain at the centre, and social justice must remain at the centre.” So said CGIL Secretary Maurizio Landini during a discussion with the former Director of the Italian Revenue Agency, Ernesto Maria Ruffini, on artificial intelligence and Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical ‘Magnifica humanitas’, held today at Palazzo Merulana in Rome.
