Ukraine, Kallas: ‘Ukrainians and Europeans must agree to end the war’

Brussels, 20 Nov. (LaPresse) – ‘To end this war, Ukrainians and Europeans must also agree on these plans. Putin could end this war immediately if he would just stop bombing civilians and killing people. But we have not seen any concessions from Russia.’ This was stated by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas upon her arrival at the Foreign Affairs Council. ‘We welcome all meaningful efforts to end this war, but as we have said before, peace must be just and lasting. This means that Ukrainians, but also Europeans, must accept it,’ she added. When asked whether European officials had participated in the 28-point US-Russia peace plan, she replied, ‘Not that I know of.’
