Rome, Aug. 4 (LaPresse) — A new heat record was set today in Austria, with a temperature of 40.8 degrees Celsius recorded in Vienna’s Stammersdorf district, in the eastern part of the capital. Austrian media reported this, citing the national weather service. The previous record dated back to August 2013, when the thermometer reached 40.5 degrees Celsius in Bad Deutsch-Altenburg, in the eastern part of the country.
