NBA: Playoffs – T’Wolves and Hawks level the series; Cavs dominate

Rome, 21 Apr. (LaPresse) – In Game 2 in Denver, the Timberwolves trailed by as many as 19 points in the first half, but fought their way back into the game. Led by the ever-reliable Anthony Edwards and with decisive baskets from future Italy international Donte DiVincenzo, they pulled off an away win to level the series. It was plain sailing for Cleveland, who, thanks to the performances of their big three – Donovan Mitchell, James Harden and Evan Mobley – comfortably beat Toronto again in Game 2. It also looked straightforward for the Knicks against Atlanta, but the visitors fought back from 12 points down in the fourth quarter and, aided by Mikal Bridges’ missed shot that would have put them back in front at the buzzer, snatched a 1-1 draw. Here are the NBA playoff results: Cleveland Cavaliers v Toronto Raptors Game 2 115-105 (Series 2-0); New York Knicks v Atlanta Hawks Game 2 106-107 (Series 1-1); Denver Nuggets v Minnesota Timberwolves Game 2 114-119 (Series 1-1).
