Rome, 21 Apr. (LaPresse) – To mark the 10th anniversary of Prince’s death, the track “With this Tear” is now available digitally from today, Tuesday 21 April. It is a previously unreleased studio recording from the artist’s legendary archive. Recorded in November 1991 at Paisley Park, the track has recently been remixed and remastered by GRAMMY-nominated engineer/producer Chris James, who previously collaborated with Prince on projects such as “HITnRUN Phase Two”, “Art Official Age” and “Plectrumelectrum”. Prince wrote, arranged and produced the track, as well as performing all the instrumental parts. Shortly after its creation, the track was offered to Céline Dion, who released her own version in 1992. This track marks the start of a series of previously unreleased Prince recordings scheduled for release this year, as part of a project featuring a previously unreleased Prince album. The release coincides with the annual ‘A Day 2 Reflect | A Night 2 Remember’, taking place today at Paisley Park, to commemorate the anniversary of Prince’s passing. The event precedes the Prince Celebration ‘10th Anniversary Celebration of Life’, a five-day global gathering dedicated to the artist’s legacy, which will take place from 3 to 7 June 2026 at Paisley Park and in downtown Minneapolis.
