Rome, 20 August (LaPresse) – Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has claimed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is “dragging Turkey into dangerous adventures in Syria”, after the Israeli Defence Forces bombed a Syrian airbase this week in response to what they describe as a Turkish military build-up in the area – a claim that both Damascus and Ankara have rejected. “Israel will not allow any entity to threaten its security,” Katz wrote in a post on X.
