David Donatello: Special Award for Bruno Bozzetto

Rome, 24 April (LaPresse) – Director, illustrator and animator Bruno Bozzetto will receive the Special David Award during the 71st edition of the David di Donatello Awards. The award will be presented on Wednesday 6 May during the live awards ceremony, broadcast in prime time on Rai 1 from the Cinecittà studios and in 4K on the Rai4K channel (channel 210 on Tivùsat). The 2026 edition will be hosted by Flavio Insinna and Bianca Balti. The evening will also be broadcast live on Rai Radio2 and available on the RaiPlay platform. “The David Special Award to Bruno Bozzetto is not only a tribute to a legendary career, but also recognition of a master of design who has succeeded in making animation a universal and cultured language, reaching the pinnacle of Hollywood and the Berlin Film Festival with his work,” said Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary for Culture.
