Iran, Crosetto: “UN mission for Hormuz, no to veto by a few countries”

Rome, Apr 21 (LaPresse) – “I would like a United Nations resolution for a peace mission to guarantee free navigation in Hormuz. I think that the vast majority of the nations of the world want it and that the UN itself would be very happy to build it. However, let us suppose that it cannot be achieved due to the veto of one or two or three nations. What do we do? Do we give up on opening? Do we leave transit closed? Do we give these two or three nations the power to stop a peace mission that the whole world hopes for? Those who say that nothing can be done without the UN do not do a favor to the United Nations, which we would all like to see as protagonists, but to those who block its work every day, giving a few nations the power to block all the others”. Thus the Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, in a note.
