ATP Madrid: Musetti beats Griekspoor to reach the last 16

Milan, 26 April (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Musetti has qualified for the round of 16 at the “Mutua Madrid Open”, the second Masters 1000 tournament of the season on clay in the Spanish capital. The Carrara-born player, ranked 9th in the world and seeded 6th, defeated Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, ranked 33rd in the ATP rankings, in two sets with a score of 6-4, 7-5. In the next round, Musetti, who is defending his semi-final spot from last year, will face the Czech Jiri Lehecka (11), who defeated the American Alex Michelsen (33) 6-4, 6-2.
