Washington (USA), Aug. 21 (LaPresse) – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met today in Washington with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand “to strengthen coordination on shared priorities in the areas of security, the economy and regional issues”. Rubio, according to a statement from the State Department, “reiterated common priorities in our hemisphere, including the ongoing partnership with Canada within the Permanent Partners Group for Haiti, emergency assistance to Venezuela following the earthquake, security in the Arctic, joint efforts to dismantle online scam centers and the need for immediate, meaningful and irreversible reforms in Cuba”.
