Middle East: Building collapses in Gaza City, 8 dead and dozens missing

Turin, 16 Sept. (LaPresse) – At least 8 people have died following the collapse of a six-storey building overnight in the west of Gaza City. This was reported by the Palestinian Civil Defence rescue service, which added that dozens of others are missing at the scene. It is unclear what caused the building to collapse, although it is possible that it had been hit previously, potentially compromising its structural integrity.
