Milan, 16 Sept. (LaPresse) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that he will table two bills to punish those who defame IDF soldiers abroad. The announcement was made in a video, reported by The Times of Israel, in which the Prime Minister explicitly referred to the directors of the film ‘Naza’, the leader of the Democrats party Yair Golan, and the former military attorney-general Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi. Netanyahu explained that the first bill will introduce the possibility of revoking citizenship, whilst the second will increase the fine they could face if found guilty. “They do not belong here,” Netanyahu stated, adding that he expects all Zionist parties to support the measures.
