Music, Laura Pausini: new Latin Grammy Awards nomination for ‘Yo Canto2’

Rome, Sept. 16 (LaPresse) – Laura Pausini received a new nomination today for the Latin Grammy Awards, now in their 27th edition this year, which will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on November 12, 2026. The nomination is in the Mejor Album Vocal Pop Tradicional category and is for her latest cover album, Io Canto 2, in its Spanish version Yo Canto 2. This new achievement at the Latin Grammys comes three years after the prestigious recognition bestowed upon her by the Latin Recording Academy as Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year. Winner of five Latin Grammys, one Grammy Award, a Golden Globe, an Oscar nomination and an endless string of accolades, Laura Pausini released her latest cover album in March 2026, a true tribute to the singer-songwriters, performers and composers who have shaped the history of Italian music. In its Spanish version, it contains songs by some of the greatest Latin artists, representing each country that has crowned her a musical icon, from Spain to Argentina, from Mexico to Chile, from Colombia to Peru, and many others. Among them are artists such as Mecano (Hijo de la Luna), Gloria Estefan (Oye Mi Canto), Juan Luis Guerra (Bachata Rosa), Alejandro Sanz (Cuando Nadie Me Ve), Shakira (Antología), Ricky Martin (Livin’ La Vida Loca), Madonna (La Isla Bonita), Fito Páez (Mariposa Tecknicolor), Natalia Lafourcade (Hasta La Raíz), Pablo López (El Patio), Joan Sebastian (Eso y Más).
