Rome, Sept. 16 (LaPresse) – “It is necessary to reflect on the era of artificial intelligence. How to think about faith and reason in this era. Decisive questions arise for our conscience that can no longer be avoided.” Thus the Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, speaking at the conference ‘Faith and Reason in the Age of Artificial Intelligence’ currently underway at the Chamber of Deputies. “The era of artificial intelligence is also a moment in the journey towards the Kingdom of God. It is a historical phenomenon that calls to be addressed. We are all called to do our part. The machine can be a help and a danger. It is urgent to think about rules in such a way as to put this potential at the service of humanity. What is at stake is the defense of the person and human dignity,” the cardinal added.
